Anyone take classes at DMACC upper-level, for under $200 online
#1
Des Moines Area Community College

I noticed they offer what appears to be upper-level classes in networking and computer programming

https://www.dmacc.edu/schedule/Pages/cou...px?CRS=CIS

Do any of the Big Three count these classes as an upper-level?

Normally, community college means lower-level.

Thanks,

CC that appears to only offer Associates and below and not Bachelors degrees, so TESU would probably limit them to LL.
TESU - BSBA: CIS - Dec '17

TECEP Eng Comp I, Marriage and Family, Strategic Management, Networking, Computer Concepts, Liberal Math, Tech Writing, Managerial Accounting DSST MIS, Cybersecurity Study.com Macroeconomics COSC Cornerstone, Software Engineering Straighterline Business Ethics

Next:
Related classes at local CC and various Cybersecurity certifications.

I suspect they are using a different kind of system for numbering their courses. I see some listed at the graduate level, of which course numbers above 500 typically are, yet the course descriptions don't look like graduate level work.

Thanks for the reply, that is what I was thinking if it is part of an Associates=LL

Just odd numbering, I'm currently looking at COSC and trying to pull together 22hr UL (12hr in CPS) on the cheap.

Iowa uses a Common Course Number system for all the community colleges. The 100 and 200 for LL isn’t maintained, so yeah, the numbers are not related to course level. http://www.kirkwood.edu/site/index.php?p=7130

Thanks,

Iowa community colleges do not have consistent alpha-numeric course identification - you can't trust their numbering. I used to TEACH an Intro course with a 500 number. It makes no sense, but you'll see it time and again.
