Are Ed4Credit courses pass/fail or are they a GPA letter grade? If it makes a difference, intend to enroll in TESU. Some sources seem to suggest that essentially all ACE credit courses are P/F at the 70% mark; other sources contradict this.

For TESU, ACE approved Courses are P/F. This includes Ed4credit.

Pass/fail @ TESU. Some colleges(COSC) take some of the alternative credits for a letter grade(under certain circumstances), but most(including TESU) just take them as pass/fail.

That explains the conflict. Internally, I get a letter grade but ACE credit == Pass/Fail from TESU's perspective. Thanks.

COSC will give you a letter grade if you get a transcript directly from SL, and I think Study.com. I haven't heard that they do it with any other course provider.

That's cool. Do you have a link that confirms as much? On the down side, aren't all COSC degrees essentially general studies degrees plus a "concentration" instead of a proper major? Let me know if that's off-base.

How do they calculate your letter grade based off a study.com transcript? Bcos my study.com transcripts only show ‘Pass.’ Do they just give you a ‘C’ regardless of what grades you might have scored on those courses?

I recently sent a study.com transcript to TESU. I was given three options, I don't remember the exact wording, but choices were basically: 1) pass/fail 2) with grade 3) It doesn't matter. I picked 'it doesn't matter', and the email I received of the transcript sent to TESU showed the classes as Pass/fail.

This was my question, as well. In wanted to know if tests passed at study.com would offer the letter grade. Also do courses at study.com count for credit fulfillment, as well as build your TESU GPA? Or can you not build a TESU GPA, until you take an actual class from TESU, that you've actually paid school tuition for?
I ask this because with classes being $1125, that's still pretty steep And if I apply for scholarships, the scholarships usually want your current school gpa and all my credits have been transferred in this far, so I have no GPA.
