I have read several posts that state that the DSST Organizational Behavior and ECE Organizational Behavior exams do not duplicate each other, but my course advisor is saying they do. I am seeking a degree from ECE - BS- General Business. Has anyone else had this issue?

Your best bet will be to get a clear answer from your EC Advisor. I didn't even think about taking both. I have already had a dupe of courses, one called Modern Lit. and Critical Thinking from the CC years ago, and I DUPED that with taking A&I Lit - CLEP 3 weeks ago. Better safe than sorry and just take what you need.
I still recommend taking the ECE - Org. Behavioral exam over the DSST.
This test will fulfill: 3 Credits in Advanced Electives (12 UL) as well as the Org. Behavioral requirement.
If you really want to take the DSST, just remember that you'll still need 12 UL credits still. This could be DSSTs or ECEs to fill. There are PLENTY of DSSTs which will apply for LL Business Courses, just check the Applied Professional section of the Credit from Exam - Excelsior Catalog.
I took this today and received a C. This was after only studying maybe 5 hrs worth of IC flashcards, however I have worked in the Corporate world for 7 years, so that definitely gave me plenty of time to learn from experience
The cost is very much the same, the time is about the same, the knowledge seems to be very similar.
I still say UL is better than LL.
