Is anyone here enrolled in this degree ?
I am thinking of switching to it because if I stay with the BS- General Accounting I have to re-take a lot of business courses that are over 20 years old.
Does anyone know what Excelsior's policy is on the age of credits for the BPS degree and also what exams would fulfill the core areas under Professional and Business and Management.

I'm enrolled in Excelsior business and I'm going for a concentration in Human Resource Management. I thought I remember reading that the college doesn't accept business courses over 10 years old for any business degree. Sorry, I don't remember witch college book I read that in.
Hope this helps your decision.

Thanks for the reply.
I found this wording on their website :
Business courses that are more than 20 years old will not be counted toward the business component of the degree.
Time Limit on transfer credits - excelsior.edu
But the BPS-Business & Management program does not have a business component, instead they have what is called a *professional component, so I am wondering if it may not fall under the 20 year time limit on business courses.

I don't know. Have you asked your adviser about it?

Not yet, as I am still waiting for them to complete the official eval of my credits.

I got a reply to my question.
The BPS is not subject to the 20 year time limit on business courses as they do not have a business component, they have a professional component.
So this degree is a good option for people who have a lot of old business credits who want a business degree but do not want to retake a lot of business courses to get a business degree at Excelsior.
