BS in Psychology by 2028 for 14 year old
#1
I dropped out of 8th grade two years ago so I could start taking college classes. I want to graduate with a Bachelor's by the time I would have graduated from high school (Spring 2028). I will be 17 at that time. I've been considering Excelsior University because it accepts so many transfer credits. Is Excelsior the best path, or is there a better college, especially for my age? I'm legally homeschooled, so all of my college credits will count for high school as well.

After my Bachelor's, I want to get a Master's and Doctorate, would this affect how I go about getting my Bachelor's?

I would also like to graduate with a high GPA and honors. Of the two ASU classes I have taken I got a 96 and 100.

Your Location: Arkansas, United States
Your Age: 14
What kind of degree do you want?: BS Psychology
Current Regional Accredited Credits: 6 - ASU - Currently working on another 9
Current ACE, CLEP, or NCCRS Credits: 12 - CLEP - Currently working on another 3
Any certifications or military experience?: No
Budget: Cheaper is obviously better, but money is not really an issue.
Commitments: I work at a theatre around 15-20 hours a week during the school year, off and on, and 40-50 hours a week in the summer.
Dedicated time to study: My only job is at the theatre, and I don't go to school anymore, so I can work as long as I need to.
Timeline: I would like to graduate by the Winter of 2027, but the Spring of 2028 can work too.
Tuition assistance/reimbursement: None

I really appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!

Checkout the following programs. Valdosta, WGU, and Charter Oak are transfer credit friendly and very affordable.

I recommend University of the Cumberlands because I received two of my master's degrees from them and they have unmatched tuition rates.

Psychology Degree | University of the Cumberlands

Psychology Course Map - Valdosta State University

Online Psychology Degree Program | WGU

Psychology Bachelor's Degree Program | Charter Oak State College

Of the Big 3, Excelsior is a great second choice, or a backup option, TESU should be your first choice due to max transfer... For Excelsior, you can transfer a max of 113 credits for the BSLA, I do believe all their other degrees including the Business, Comp Sci, Psych, etc, are now 105 credits.

In short, go TESU... TESU remains at 114, but you have to pay the Edison Accelerate (residency waiver) fee. If you don't want to pay that fee, you will need to take 15 residency credits through classes or e-packs. Thus, if you're going to take classes from either institutions, it's virtually a tie!

Having said that, if you're doing 15 credits at either institution, I recommend maxing those transfers and also getting an additional Associates at Excelsior, or if you're going to TESU, get 2 Associates/extra Bachelors, and up to 4 certs in subject matter that interest you. Or, at TESU, you can take grad credits at the cost of undergrad using their Bachelors to Masters option!

Although TESU has a general minimum age of 20, the true minimum age is 16. Students entering TESU from 16 to 19 petition for a waiver. Your existing credits will qualify for a waiver by demonstrating self-directed learning. Until 16 you can continue to earn credits.

Can you be more specific about what master's and doctorate programs and related careers you are interested in? There are big differences among graduate programs and career tracks in and around psychology.
