First, thank you all for the advice over the past 2 years...lots of knowledge and methods that rock.
Second: I need your help.
I'm trying to complete a BSBA from TESU or Excelsior by 2020 or earlier. As I am active duty military, I can take CLEPS/DSSTs for free and would like to maximize that before taking courses from study.com, SL, etc.
I'm also open to coming out of pocket for some costs, just focused on speed at this point.
I've completed about 40 credits in only DSSTS, and haven't started CLEPS yet.
Attached is a spreadsheet with my temporary plan, (I didn't know where to put a lot of DSSTS...plus I have Military credit I still need to add.)
I'm looking forward to your advice!
1) What can't I do with DSSTs/CLEPs? I want to get it started. (Capstone is all I have found so far..)
2) What BSBA Should I pursue? I have an interest in IT and thus can get easier credits there..

Couple quick things:
-absolutely keep up with the CLEPs/DSSTs since they're free for you right now.
- check out the other free sources of credit(Sophia, Teex, institutes ethics)
-find your joint service transcript and see how that may apply to your degree
-i think you can apply to excelsior for free and maybe tesu when you're active duty so I'd go ahead and do that so you know where you stand
- see if your command will authorize you to use military tuition assistance (should be $250/credit hour)
Also:
-you will probably need to do the cornerstone at the school
- active duty military tuition at EC and tesu is only $250/credit
- tesu has a BSBA in computer information systems, so that may be right up your alley.

My post is going to assume that you're getting the BSBA at TESU, since you're using my TESU spreadsheet. None of this applies to EC, since I don't know what works where there.
First, are you going for the BSBA in CIS or in Marketing? You have marketing on there.
Second, you have a bunch of courses in Gen Ed Electives that won't work there. At this point, you should get more focused on which CLEP/DSST exams you take so that you don't waste any time taking things that won't work in the degree (3 courses moved down to Free Electives, and there's only room for 2).
Also, Business Ethics in Society doesn't work as Business in Society/International Business any longer that I'm aware of. It should work in GE Electives though.
Third, here are the courses that you can use for Specific requirements at TESU (both in GE and Business):
WRITTEN COMM 1 - College Composition Modular - CLEP
ORAL COMM - Principles of Public Speaking - DSST
QUANT LIT - College Algebra - CLEP
INFO LIT - World Religions (DSST) or A&I Lit (CLEP)
DIVERSITY - World Religions (DSST) or Sociology (CLEP)
(if you take World Religions for one, you can't do it for the other, it only counts once)
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT - American Govt (CLEP)
STATS - Statistics (DSST)
Financial Accounting (CLEP)
Business Law (CLEP)
Macroeconomics (CLEP)
Microeconomics (CLEP)
Principles of Management (CLEP)
Principles of Marketing (CLEP)
I've revised your spreadsheet to fix the problems above; highlighted in medium green what you've already taken; and highlighted in light green what you can still take from CLEP/DSST.
Finally, if you choose TESU, you have to enroll as a Military student, and you need to plan in 7 TECEP exams - in which case that will satisfy your residency requirement (no Residency Waiver to be paid). There are a bunch, too many to list. But you have plenty of space in your degree for all of them if you plan them out correctly - like you could take English Comp I, Technical Comm (as Oral Comm requirement), Sociology, Comparative Government as Civic Engagement requirement, etc. Here's the list of Gen Eds, with notes which tell where a TECEP is available. And, there are TECEPs that can be used as your core and UL requirements as well (Managerial Acctg, Print of Marketing, Business in Society, Microecon, Networking, etc.). https://www.tesu.edu/academics/courses/2016-and-after2

I just double checked and it looks like currently tesu will waive the application fee for military and vets so go ahead and apply since you have nothing to lose. Sending your JST is free, too.
