BSCSIA program changes
#1
WGU made changes today to the BSCSIA program (and probably others too, but I haven't looked yet).

https://partners.wgu.edu/Pages/BSCSIA.aspx

Highlights (if you can call them that)
- Science now has to have a lab component
- Added "Health and Fitness" gen ed
- Removed Intro to Geography
- Removed English Comp I (but kept English Comp II)
- Added Intro to Python
- Added Linux Foundations (Linux+ included in the degree now?)
- Removed Web Development Foundations
- Almost ALL Sophia equivalencies appear to be GONE. The only ones left are College Algebra and Statistics. This might be a mistake, as they still appear on other degree pages.

This is going to make it a stronger program overall but it might SUCK for me, depending on when it goes into effect. We'll see.

Sweet, the program was lacking programming and Linux. It likely won't be Linux+ though, since they currently have LPI Essentials in their other programs (though L+ would be a better choice).

I wouldn't fret about that. They literally updated that program page TODAY, so the transfer partners page will take a bit of time to get an update.

The BS Finance would be a great addition. Many students want that specific degree, and only SNHU has that now for the colleges we usually recommend.
Degrees: BA Computer Science, BS Business Administration with a concentration in CIS, AS Natural Science & Math, TESU. 4.0 GPA 2022.
Course Experience:  CLEP, Instantcert, Sophia.org, Study.com, Straighterline.com, Onlinedegree.org, Saylor.org, Csmlearn.com, and TEL Learning.

Thankfully you were correct about this. The Sophia page is now fixed, it appears. (Mostly, anyway. It still double-lists a few courses.) I would've expected them to publish ALL changes simultaneously, but nobody's perfect.
