BSNursing Degree
#11
I don’t know The best route to go with these 2 folks where they already have bachelors degrees in another field. They can probably find a bridge program. But for someone starting from scratch I would absolutely consider The associate degree. It will get you into the job market 2 years earlier and as floor nurses make exactly the same in the door as a BSN. Depending on your career and long term goals ( management , ect )you can always earn your BSN while working as an RN which is what many do. You will have zero trouble getting a job because of your associate degree RN. If you have problems finding work it will have nothing to do with your associates degree. Look at the job postings. Few require BSN.

I also would advise someone without a Bachelor's degree to get an RN - but there are tons of bridge programs to get the BSN after you already have a bachelor's, so it makes it a better option for those particular people.
