Best Oral Comm class to meet TESU requirement
#1
Hi. I need a TESU, COM-108 equivalent at Straighter, Study.com or other. My goal is to get as much speaking practice as possible. I'm not picky about whether it's recorded or live - just wanting to build my skills. Thanks.

This isn't really what you asked, but for speech, study.com/Straighterline sources aren't the best format.
Depending on your timeline, I'd recommend doing the speech class at a local CC where you have to speak in front of others etc.

If I had to choose between the two, Straighterline gives you a more in depth Oral presentation class, since there are three speeches and an eBook which you can peruse at your liking.

For the credit, study.com is fine. For practice, you may want to consider joining Toastmasters.
TESU BALS Humanities, thanks to this place!

+1. Toastmasters will give you much more experience & training, if you're attending meetings frequently (and ideally working with a TM mentor). The for-credit class is more a formality, because whether you do one, three, or five recorded speeches, you won't have the immediate feedback you'd get via TM. For credit, I don't know which is better as I've not done one yet myself. But for actually becoming a better speaker, my Toastmasters experience wins hands down! (Plus, it's networking!) Good luck!

Not to hijack the thread but... my full-time job is a professional development trainer. All I do is public speaking and have for years. What's my best course of action?

Thanks all. I just joined Toastmasters and did my icebreaker speech today. It went better than expected. I plan to attend as many meetings as possible but figured an additional speech class (even online) would not hurt - plus required for TESU
