Big three and credits transferring
#1
I completed about 50 credits from a community college and local state college. If you have some D’s on your transcripts do the big 3 make you retake those classes or how do they handle those?

In general, you can use them, except for the required English and the Area of Study:

Policy on D Grades

Students may transfer in or apply Thomas Edison State University course grades of D to their non area of study requirements as long as their overall grade point average is at least a 2.0, or higher as determined by the School in which they are enrolled, with the following exceptions:

  • All area of study courses must be graded C or better in order to apply to area of study requirements

  • All required composition courses must be graded C or better

  • No course in which a student earned a D- grade will be accepted in transfer

Depends on the school, you should check all of their policies separately.

TESU will take D or D+ (no D-) grades for your GE's, Free Electives, and even some core (like the Business Core) - but not the AOS. You do need a C or higher for English Comp I & II.
