I've searched the forum and I don't see the answer that I'm looking for...
I'm looking to get a business degree, the most affordable and quickest way possible.
I have around 90 credits from all over the place academically which should cover all of my gen ed requirements. I'd like to test out of all the courses that I need for my degree but I'm confused by all the capstones required at each of the big 3. Do any of them offer a degree that I can completely test out of all the requirements for the degree itself?
Does anyone have any advice about which school would be the best for me? It looks like each requires a capstone and some require a full foundation class. I'm really confused...
Again, sorry if this information is somewhere on the forum. I searched and I didn't see it and I feel like there is so much conflicting information everywhere.
Thanks,
Britt

Unfortunately, it's not possible to test out of an entire 4 year degree anymore at the Big 3. You can, however, test out of 117 out of 120 required credit hours.

I brought in 70 ish credits and tested the rest for my BSBA @ TESC, almost done.
At TESC you can test out of the Capstone for their Business Administration degree's.
The Capstone is labeled as business policy, but the test is TECEP Strategic Management.
I took it a few weeks ago and luckily passed.. It's a toughy
ALTHOUGH.. If youre not enrolled at test by July.. they are changing the gen ed and a bunch of other requirements.. which may limit you on fully testing out of your BSBA.
This is what I know, but it is possible that things have changed.. So definitely do your homework for a firm answer

I stand corrected. I was unaware that TESC let you test out of your capstone.

Even with the new gen ed requirements, I think it would still be possible to test out of the BSBA at TESC unless they make changes to the capstone requirement. COSC's business degree would be cheaper, but you would have to take the cornerstone and capstone as a course there.
I need to change the math requirement on this degree plan since it's been lowered to college algebra.

Is the only anti-capstone requirement issue cost? Otherwise, I can't see what the big deal is about doing a final capstone. It seems to me this could be a great opportunity to reflect on what the education experience is all about and plan on what it might mean to your future. What am I missing here?

I don't think cost is the only issue, although it may be the main one for most people on this forum. The other issues in my case were it being a course that had to be taken which took away my choice of which other class I could take to fill that requirement, but mainly the time issue. Most people on this forum are trying to accelerate the time it takes to complete a degree with as few 8 week, 12 week, etc. classes as possible.
