COSC General Studies HR concentration
#1
I have been able to match up the requirements for the human resource concentration with study.com except for 3 classes:
1) SOC 449: Workplace Issues/Diversity
2) MGT 431: Performance, Compensation, and Benefits
3) HRM 311: Managing People in a Global Economy

Do any of you know what would substitute for these??  I am open to other avenues than study.com, but I know many upper level credits come from that source.

Thank you!!

For SOC 449
SOC 305: Sociology of Work - Study.com (this should work for sure)

For MGT 431 (possibilities):
HRM210: Compensation Management that might work for MGT 431 - Penn Foster
HRM350S: Compensation & Performance Management - CSU-Global (if you can take an SSA w/o enrolling in the school)

For HRM 311 (possibilities):
MAN-330: International Management - Davar
BUS 308: Globalization and International Management - Study.com
ECN405S: Management in the Global Economy - CSU-Global (if you can take an SSA w/o enrolling in the school)

Instead of the General Studies major with a HR concentration, I would suggest you look into the the Business Administration major with a HR concentration at COSC.

You could probably take these three courses at Study.com for the HR concentration:
Business 306: Strategic Human Resources Management
Business 325: Union & Labor Relations
Business 319: Negotiations & Conflict Management
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

I agree that the BSBA/HR would be easier to get the required courses. Although for whatever reason, the BSBA has fewer HR courses...

And another reason you want to get the BSBA vs the General Studies is on the parchment/transcript, your degree is a BS in Business Admin vs a BS in General Studies. No matter how many courses/credits you have in the BSGS even if it's similar or identical to your BSBA, it's still going to a General Studies degree. As others mentioned - Get the BSBA at COSC with your HR concentration instead.
