COSC questions
#1
Hi everyone, i have been reading many threads here for awhile and have a few specific questions on the cosc business degree. I have read the wiki pages on business degrees and specific stuff about COSC. I have recently received my transcript from my previous college experience (about 40 credits in business, mainly in my major area). I have made a plan from what i read in the wiki pages about kittenmittens COSC plan. I am planning on testing out until around 100 credits before enrolling at COSC.

Question one: If i am waiting to enroll until i have more credits, do i just guess which classes i took previously will match up with COSC coursework?

Question two: If that is the case do just start to follow my plan and start taking DSST?CLEP etc from the class plan i have copied from the WIKI, and hope they will be accepted when i do enroll?

Question three: From what i have read COSC takes FEMA credits, do i just take all of those as free electives? Does COSC take them straight in or do i have to get them washed?

Sorry for all the specific questions, i'm just trying to limit doing work twice without being an enrolled student yet, but am looking to start studying and testing right away.

Thanks

1) You should look at the degree requirements on the website and then go to http://www.charteroak.edu/exams/exams-master-list.pdf to check each test you plan to take. Call and ask the advisors about Straighterline and Penn Foster courses, or just ask for specifics on this forum.
2) You can use WIKI but expect changes. I'd call the enrollment advisor at COSC. The main reason that I chose Charter Oak was because they were very forthcoming with information well before I became a student. I didn't matriculate until I had completed 90 credit hours.
3) I have no idea, but your enrollment advisor may be able to help.

You send them straight from FEMA to COSC. They mostly apply as free electives. A few do count as liberal arts electives as well. Here is the list of current FEMAs that qualify for credit: https://em-study.com/emsfema/article.php...icle_id=62
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.
