CS associate degree Alternative
#1
I have a question if get a CS associate degree from another institution using the no more accepted  study.com courses by TESU and then transfer this CS degree back to TESU will they accept those credits or not?

In progress:
TESU - ASNSM ASBA, UNIR- Master Cyber Security
Completed:
TESU - BA Computer Science

No. That is considered credit laundering and will not work.

The courses will show up as transfers and TESU will want to see the original (SDC) transcript.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

@gams007, that won't work. Technically all you're doing is sending them the same thing though as they need the transcripts to come from the source.  Having an Associates is fine, but they will still need to know where these credits came from.  There are always workarounds to get the degree you're looking for, at a better cost, ease, speed to finish.  Here's an example of what I would do for someone looking at the BACS with the new changes that may occur January 1, 2022.  Take the Study.com courses for knowledge and supplement them with Saylor or another resource...

PLA: https://www.tesu.edu/degree-completion/pla
Fees: https://www.tesu.edu/tuition/pla-tuition
Per credit: https://www.tesu.edu/tuition/per-credit
Flat rate: https://www.tesu.edu/tuition/flat-rate-tuition

Cost: 2 credit PLA-200 course, plus PLA fees
2 x 519 + 389 + 221 = $1648 for 18 credits
Flat rate: $4639 for up to 15-16 residency credits
Using a combo of both, you finish the 30 RA and 16 residency requirements
Total cost: $6287, you hit the 30 RA/16 Residency, use ACE/NCCRS for 90.
