Calculator for CLEP college math?
#1
Hi:

Does anyone know what kind of a calculator you're allowed to use for the CLEP college math exam? I know you can use a non-programmable scientific type for the DANTES. Is it the same with CLEP, or do you just use a pocket calculator?

A response would be appreciated. I have to take this exam in a week, and I am very mathphobic. I've tested out of 100 plus credits so far, and have the CLEP math, DANTES Stats and TECEP research design left in order to complete my degree with Thomas Edison.

Any tips would be appreciated, I have saved the worst for last and am very nervous about these exams-passed the rest of the exams in 7 months but am procrastinating on these last two math related ones...

Thanks!

On the computerized CLEP you aren't allowed to bring your own calculator. The computer provides you with one.

With the DSST Stats exam, I used my own calculator. I took the pen-and-paper version of the tests, so I'm not sure if you can still bring your own if you are taking the Internet based one.

Yeah... it's the one that's on the CLEP software on the computer. You've seen it if you ever went through the little tutorial thing before the test.
