Can't view Specific Exam Feedback

I had to log on then click on members lounge. That redirected me to log on again and everything is fine now.

Yes, I did the same thing. After I log onto the Member Lounge, I would try both "Discussion Forum" at the top, or the link at the bottomt that says "InstantCert Discussion Forum is now MEMBERS ONLY." and still no luck.

I even tried logging out of the forum then going to Member Lounge, and use the two mentioned above and logged in and still don't have access.


In regards to charging, I do agree with others. Reason being, last year I was signed up for 3 or so months, then off while studying then signed up again for 1 to 2 months. In the last two years, I was probably signed up for at least 5 months. If you do plan to keep that section for paid members, maybe go based on those who have contributed in the past and current members? just a thought.

I agree that in theroy it does not seem right, but look at it this way. We as individuals were either pointed to or found this site looking for a way to pass tests and continue our education. We have used the information provided by fellow members and the IC flashcards to accomplish this goal. We post our info on the site to help eachother expecting nothing in return. What IC does with it is up to them. Remember we are paying to use the tool they have set up. I did not hesitate nor would I again to pay the $20 a month to obtain the info that is here. We do this for eachother not for IC.

Strange, it does say "Instantcert Subscribers ONLY". I don't know why paying members don't have access, but I have the feeling this will be resolved soon.

And I agree, it's not very nice to make that area private to paying members only, assuming that's the case, as the feedback is mostly about the exams themselves and not about Instantcert's material (wasn't that what was implied in the area name anyways?). In addition, forum members provided feedback to that area for free when it was open. Making it private is now is somewhat like cheating out all those who contributed to making it the invaluable resource it has become now.

I know it's instantcert's boards and they can do with it as they please (even restrict the whole forum if they want to), but I feel the change is unjustified, and definitely not welcome.

Steve, I hope you're reading this. I hope I'm mistaken and I hope Instantcert has a good reason for doing this. We'll soon find out.

Forum Members--

I understand your disappointment that the Specific Feedback area is no longer free, but please try to look at it our way:

When we started this forum, the goal was for it to stay free, but we've come to a point where we're spending thousands of dollars on a) the web server and b) search engine promotion so that people can find the forum.

We're not a charity. Yes, helping people has always been a big priority, and I think that's reflected in the fact that we haven't raised our price in the last 5 years (even as we added more and more subjects and functionality). But at the same time, we need to get some kind of return on all the money that we're spending.

Please don't ignore the fact that there's a LOT of really good information in the other free areas of the forum. A lot of people have posted their experiences and feedback in the General Education area--you just need to dig a little harder to find it with the search function.

Also, to address the technical support type questions, here's what you need to make sure you're doing:

If you're already an InstantCert subscriber, then you need to log in by going to the following URL:
Sign in to InstantCert Academy

That URL specifically--do not go to some other bookmark you may have. You must go specifically to the Members' Lounge.

Once you log in, you should get a prompt asking you to choose a username/password for the forum. If you already have an account here on the forum, then type in your forum username and password exactly, and it will be linked with your InstantCert membership.

If you try this out and have problems, send me an email with your InstantCert username and your forum username, and I'll try to help you out right away.
