You only need 1 transcript, not 3 - just the one evaluated copy sent to 3 different schools.

This was going to be my next question - thanks for the foresight!

Hi All,

Just a small update: After leaning towards Athabasca's 3-year BGS, I discovered Thompson Rivers University (through this forum :-)).

As previously noted I would prefer a 4-year degree. TRU has a 4-year BGS with a 15 credit (5 course) residency requirement. It *looks* like these can be tested out of via challenge exams @ $100/credit, so $1,500 total. I was so disappointed to see that they are no longer affiliated with SL! They also have a 4-year BSc(General) and BSc(Major) with the same 15 credit residency but other, slightly more stringent requirements so I'd probably forgo these unless my credits pigeonholed nicely.

I emailed admissions about testing out, so we'll see. If its possible, and if the extra fees (application, graduation, etc.) aren't too crazy this will likely be my cheapest route (especially being in Canadian funds). I'll keep y'all posted.

Good Gravy! They have no limit on the number of transfer credits that can be used in a master's program.

2.6 Transfer Credit from Master's Degree Programs

"There is no limit on the amount of credit that can be used from an uncompleted and expired master’s degree program toward the completion of a credential offered through TRU-OL."

Hi Everyone,

I'm taking bjcheung77's advice to use this thread for accountability.

I submitted my transcripts to TRU.  They said it would take 6-8 weeks for assessment.  After waiting close to 11 weeks, I asked for an update.  I get a lot of email from my job, so apparently I missed the assessment sent March 23, but what good news!

For their 4-year BGS, I was given 105 credits with a GPA of 3.81.  The remaining 15 credits (can be UL or LL) need to be completed through TRU, although there is a chance I may be able to challenge some of that.  Plus, there's no capstone - just 6 credits required in English.

I'm beside myself with joy and gratitude for all of your assistance!  I'll be sure to keep you posted.

All the Best,
Canuck

Congrats... you're almost there, a rough calculation of $3000 Canadian dollars and you're at the finish line.
Here are the fees for TRU OL/distance courses: https://www.tru.ca/distance/services/tui...ml#courses
The 15 credits are the residency requirements, I don't think there's any way around those courses.
But if you mentioned taking LL courses, take the ones that would benefit you most in your profession.
