Charter Oak and FEMA
#1
I've searched the forum and still cannot come up with a definite conclusion. I simply would like to know if COSG will accept FEMA credits and does it have to be transferred from a community college?

Also, are the FEMA credits considered liberal arts credits?

If COSC does accept it, then how do I go about doing that?

Oficially a Graduate!!Big Grin

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I too have a similar one.

I'm a SOC major at SLU - take half my classes in the bricks, half on-line and have tested out of 27 credits (4 tests to go). They limit you to 40 credits by test. However, I have room to transfer some from a Community College. and I have room for 12 credits of general electives.

Time is of the essence - I was laid off last winter (displaced IT worker).Sad

Question. Has anyone successfully transferred the FEMA credits to FCC and then to a four year conventional school like SLU (Saint Leo)?

If SLU will accept them, I should be able to finish by Jan, 2009.

BTW - Thanks you guys - I've been reading this board for months.. this is just the first time I asked a question. You guys have helped me figure out which tests are more difficult than others. You also helped me get the nerve to take the Nat. Sci and Humanities - passed both first try.

Last time I checked with Charer Oak, they will take FEMA credits transcripted through Thomas Edison's credit bank.

My original post is at:

http://www.instantcertonline.com/forums/...#post14461

-----------------------------
Thank you for your message. The credit registry/bank offered by Thomas
Edison State College may be used to transfer many of the FEMA credits.
However, at this time it is unclear if Thomas Edison State College
faculty is assessing the FEMA credits on their own. Therefore there
could be a few that appear on the Edison transcript that we cannot
locate from the Frederick evaluation or the Edison prior learning
course
reviews; those we cannot transfer.

If you have Edison transcript the FEMA courses you will need to make
sure Edison has this description as part of it's Prior Learning Course
descriptions Prior Learning Assesment Credit Description Database (under EDM) & it should appear on
the Frederick FEMA list as well.
