Charter Oaks CyberSecurity
#1
Can anyone direct me to class from SL and SDC that would fulfill charteroaks cybersecurity requirements? This is for a 16 year old. TESU is out of the question due to having to be 21 years old. WGU also might me out of the question.

Thanks in advance for any help.

ITE 101 Management Info Systems / Business 303: Management Information Systems
ITE 220 Networking / Computer Science 108: Introduction to Networking
ITE 145 Info Systems Security (Information Technology Elective) / Computer Science 110: Introduction to Cybersecurity

This degree might not be test out friendly.

Minor issue: TESU the age is 20 or above. 18 and 19 if active military, or 18 and 19 without military can get waiver with conditions.
In any case, it might be a long wait for original poster, so COSC is probably better option. I just wanted to mention the age thing. I used to think it was age 21 as well .

The age 21 does apply to the tesu-sdc discount. But COSC is still probably what you want. Smile

I see they have a "information systems" under the general studies bachelor's degree. That looks like computer science although it doesn't specifically state it. That might be a good route also because she can do more specific certifications after that.

Have you thought about recommending the 16 year old try for the COSC BSGS in ISS, they can then add some Cybersecurity courses as electives and also do some of the Coursera/Google IT & TEEX Cybersecurity + other cheap industry cybersecurity certs.
Done: TESU ASNSM Biology, ASBA/BSBA (ACBSP Accredited in 2017)
Business & IT Certs: Cisco, CompTIA, 6Sigma/Lean/Scrum, ITIL, MTA, etc
Coursera Google IT Certs & Udacity Nanodegrees

Working on: TESU BA Biology & Computer Science
Universidad Isabel I: ENEB MBA, Big Data & BI, Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
Deferred: **Deciding on several Masters/PHD programs**

2019 BALS and BSBA Spreadsheet using mainly SL/Study.com (post#28,31)

~Note: Read Wiki guide links for TESU equivalency - CLEP/DSST/SL/Study.com, etc
