Cheapest MBA

It's looking like my out of pocket total will be just under $4,500, but if I had chosen one cheaper elective it would have been about $850 less. I will be graduating from Walden which is both regionally accredited and has ACBSP accreditation. Message me if you want to know how I worked this out. I do not want to post the full method and then have the school change the policy because they see it being discussed. They do have an offer right now for the next Tempo term at $65. I believe there is no application fee. Just be sure to get into Tempo if you want to keep costs super low. The method I am using though is really better for someone not wanting to graduate extremely quickly, so if you are looking for cheap, fast, and accredited with specialization already offered by the school then WGU is the way to go.

Walden is a for profit school so that's a turn off to some. It's also not available in all states so before one gets excited about their programs, first they need to find out if they're eligible to apply. I was super excited about a master's they offered and then they told me they couldn't talk to me because my state doesn't allow them to offer degrees here. Rasmussen had the same issue. They explained what the issue was whereas Walden wouldn't talk to me at all. It was very weird.

Walden is fine (I was considering it), but the $3000 grant is spread over up to 6 terms for a $500 discount/term, not all at once. Just so everyone has the correct information.

SEARCH for ENEB MBA

I've been searching too and someone mentioned HAU to me. They don't have federal funding, though, which is a deal breaker for me.

I did find Eastern.edu that has two programs for $9900 flat rate. Amberton.edu is a little over $10k and they both accept federal loans.

There are several cheap state schools that are below 12k. TAMUCC and Lamar.edu are both Texas universities with fully online masters. SEOSU is also very cheap, as is Ft Hayes.

Don't rule out HAU just because you can't get a student loan to pay it (there is no Pell Grant $ after bachelor's).  They have payment plan options; you can email them and they'll let you know the options. I had a family member who split it into two payments (half at start, then the other half later - 6 months later I believe), someone else here talked about four $750 payments. $3k for a RA MBA is an amazing price, even 1 term at WGU can't beat that.

True but why the push for people to come up with 3k instead of allowing them to use loans? Any other student could max theirs and nobody would bat an eyelash. Doctors have 300k+ in loans and often never pay them back. There's several news reports of people who bankrupted on that much.

That university also has no ranking and limited degree options. Someone may never get a job with it.

My problem with HAU is that it's a small school that, for all I know, won't be around in 5-10yrs.

Also, I don't see any student reports that completing a master's there would be any faster than at WGU.

WGU costs under $4000 when factoring in a scholarship. WGU has no ranking, but people have gotten jobs at Fortune 500 companies such as Microsoft.

Will a high-ranking master's help? Maybe, it's hard to say.

I wouldn't suggest people take on more student loan debt than is nessecarry.

If you default on your student loans, that will affect your credit score, which means higher interest rates you will pay for loans.

You can try to run and hide but at some point, they will take your money.

The government can garnish wages, take your tax refund and garnish social security payments.

Do you have inside information ? Cause they’ve already been around for 18 years.

As for ranking. I think once you get into the many thousands in world rank like eastern university, Fort Hays , HAU, TAMCC , as the examples given above. it’s prolly Dick or Dan. Unless you live near one of them.

There is ZERO guarantee than most people can complete WGU's MBA in 6 months. You also have no proof that HAU won't be around in 5 years. Even if it isn't, so what? Plenty of colleges close and that doesn't make their degrees any less valid.

I am looking at doing a master's soon, so these are my opinions are based on what matters to me.

I'm pretty confident I can complete a master's at WGU in 6 months, most likely in 3 months.

I'm a bit wary, being HAU has such a small enrollment. Also, I heard there are weekly video conferencing requirements of as much as 6 hours a week, so that wouldn't work for me.
