College Composition
#11
The essay wasn’t difficult and allowed me to pass (recently got a 61). Just follow the Free-Clep-Prep style and you will pass. I did APA for my format style.

I doubt the formatting was the issue. If you want to follow APA, but can't get the pagination right because of the editor, I'd suggest ignoring the pagination and just place your references at the bottom of the document as if it were all on one page.

I winged it, didn't really use any formatting (including anything from FCP) and just followed the directions as best as I could. Still cut a 56. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not sure if things have changed, but when I took the exam (this was a couple years ago), I just made an in-text reference to my sources (e.g. "According to a survey by Jones...."), and didn't write a reference list or do any other formatting (other than indenting the start of a new paragraph). I passed with a 63.

That sounds incredible easy, -_- Lol.   So how about if I just make my test look like this...?

How to pass the College Composition Course
                                                                                         FishNDip

When doing the second test, where you must cite to sources you can make "an in-text
reference" to your sources, according to mysonx3. So don't worry about APA or MLA!
It's not necessary and it slows you down.

Look about right?

Yep, that's what I did (honestly, I don't even think I put a title/author at the top, but I don't remember for certain). But again, I'm not sure if they've updated the test since I took it, as it's been a couple of years.

Well if a writing format is unnecessary, guess I'll just do that.

Well, here you can see they mention it at Ability to Use Source Materials (25%)

https://clep.collegeboard.org/compositio...omposition

Also, the other link that was provided had it mentioned, http://www.free-clep-prep.com/College-Co...-CLEP.html
it says just pick APA or MLA whichever your more comfortable with.

I guess it's more of I've never heard anyone discuss this when doing the exam. So I think you've made it more complicated than you needed to.
This. You're over-complicating it. All the essays require are in-text citations. No less, no more. I did not do any headings, titles, outlines, or references pages when I passed mine. I definitely did not write nearly enough to have to worry about separating pages. I'd say if you can write multiple pages of content for the essays within the allotted time, you are a much better writer than I am and should pass easily.

And this. This was all I did as well. No formatting or reference list to make. I actually couldn't indent (at least using tab) during the essays. I tried to.
