Hello,
I want to take the CLEP test for the first time - Intro to Psychology. Can anyone give me some advice on how to prepare for that, please? How long could it take me to study for the test if I don't have any previous knowledge? Also, does anyone have an experience with Teaching Solutions? They say that if you purchase their materials you will pass the test 100%....Thanks for any info

Up on the blue bar their is a button labeled search. Click on it and do a search for Psychology. Also check the Specific Feedback Section. I took this one and passed with a 52. I used IC, Peterson's and Wikipedia. I only studied maybe two hours for this one and have never teken a Psychology class. However, everyone is different and I am a voracious reader. Good Luck, and don't forget to update us on your score!

I used the idiots guide to psychology as well as instantcert and did great. If you can sink 2-3 quality hours per day studying you should be good to go in 2-3 weeks. If you have more time to study then you can probably cut that # down. As far as the (100% promise to pass- in essence they are WAY overpriced and just give you what you can get for free/ cheap) Also some of those operations make you jump through hoops, turn in all notes for review, write a dissertation as to why you failed and wait 2 months for a review and maybe a refund check for the price of the clep only. If you are paying $250 for the books that cost them $20 and even if they sent everyone a refund check (which will never happen) they are still making a killing!
Just get the idiots/ dummies guide and supplement it w/ instantcert/ read the forum and you will be good to go!

Bob, the specific feedback forum will only show up if you are logged in. You should be able to find it from the main list of forums. If it still doesn't show up, maybe a moderator can help you ..
