California state started allowing community colleges to award bachelors now too to help with the overflowed CalStates. In CA if you get an associates from a community college you’re GUARANTEED acceptance to Cal State. So a lot of people use this to get into Stanford, Berkeley, or UCLA

Interesting! This might help with UL RA credits on our end. Says caps out at 150% of cost of community college, or LL credits, for UL 3rd and 4th year. Definitely worth looking in to a little closer to fall semester.

You are guaranteed acceptance of your credits, and you are guaranteed to get into A CSU or UC - but not which one (you don't always get to choose, or get your first choice) so you might end up at a school you don't want to go to.

Also, it's for very specific programs, not just anything; you have to get an AA-T or AS-T degree and then use it to go to a school with that particular major offered (so if you got an AA-T in Communications, you could only go to a school that had a Communications degree for instance); you have to have followed the CSU or IGETC Advising Guides; you have to have a certain GPA (differs between schools); and there are some other requirements.

UCLA does not participate in TAG, and Stanford is not a state school, so they aren't in it either.

UC Davis is though, so if you wanted to be a vet, you have a MUCH better chance to get in as a junior TAG participant than as a freshman admission.

CA has these, but it's VERY limited both in schools and majors.  I think there are only 11 degrees at 15 CC's in the entire state (out of 113 CC's).  You can't take UL until you get the LL courses completed and are admitted into the program; at that point, there's not a good reason not to continue on and finish your degree (I think it ends up being less than $10k for the entire 4yr degree - $1,760 for the first 60cr and $7,800 for the last 60cr).

Not sure what it's like in other states though - sure would be nice to bring down the cost of college for people.

I noticed a vast majority of these AATs end up in Cal State Bakersfield or Cal State Fullerton versus the rest too
