Covid19 and accelerated degree
#1
Hi everyone.

Does anyone think that the potential of quarantine might be a boon for the accelerated degree programs ?  I already hold a BA from a University in Canada, and it just occurred to me that in the event I have to self quarantine, rather than Netflix and Chill it might be useful to work thru some study.com and straighter-line courses and get all the leg work for a BSBA out of the way.

The one problem for me is that the Canadian dollar vs. the US dollar makes this a non-trivial amount of money.  I wish onlinedegree was available outside of the United States.

Have anyone tried Saylor Academy ?  I took a look at one of their courses once and I did not enjoy the format.

BSBA Eh? You're getting a BSBA for much cheaper than any BSBA in Canada - so, don't worry about the cost, the BSBA will pay for itself after a few months of working when you get that raise. What's your BA in and which school is it from? I recall you're in Hamilton/London area, southwest Ontario - you should have at least 66+ credits waived for your BSBA already.

If you have a test center nearby, you can get about 5+ CLEP (all their business related ones) tests out of the way for some of the BSBA requirements and then work on several Saylor.org courses, those are pretty cheap at $25/3 credits. I assume this is for the BSBA General Management or another concentration? You can get all the UL from Davar and/or Study.com

Many people have. I took one course for credit and used three others as study material for a CLEP, a DSST, and a TECEP.. Some courses are better than others, and I say it's worth trying before dismissing them out of hand, since it costs nothing to do so. However, there are other cheap and free choices these days, so many don't.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)
