I know everyone is saying "she can't possibly have ANOTHER question!", but please have patience with me :-)
Can someone confirm with math EC will accept to satisfy the requirement for business majors? Is is ALEX-0003 or 0005? I want to ensure I am taking the right course.
Thanks to everyone for your patience with me and all the help you provide.

Different learning styles. Some folks need to have things explained in a different fashion, or need multiple methods to solve a given problem. Books will do this. Web sites can help too, but the writing may not always be as good.
I'm one of those who need to have books handy. Yes, sites like Purplemath are great aids, but my copy of Complete Idiot's Guide to Algebra has gotten dogeared from all the use it's seen. The book's author explains things in a more relaxed fashion smattered with his trademark goofy humor, which makes it a good read at stressful moments.
The ALEKS writing can be overly stiff and formal, sometimes to the point of being obtuse. Sometimes their writing is over-concise, so you just know the explanation is in there, but you can't decipher it because they essentially rushed through writing it. Not to mention, it's tough sometimes to read their explanations on a screen when your eyes are bugging out, or worse-- reading explanations on a screen that you want to throw something at because it just told you you're wrong.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend running out and blowing lots of $$$$ on ALEKS' listed reference books. I think books like the Idiots' and Demystified series (yes, I have both for Algebra AND PreCalculus) are the best bet, and can be had cheap used through Amazon.

Pete i think you are correct and i should have been a little more clear. That was the bottom line. Buying their material or study guides are not needed when their are more reliable resources, cheaper and sometimes free right on the net. So you were right I was wrong :p

I just spoke with the Aleks people about the process.............starting, finishing, and crediting (the steps 1, 2, 3....). I think I got it.........but can you explain how you did it. How long is the crediting step in terms of days. I must apologize if you have answered this already, but I might have missed it.
ps It dawned on me that you should not start another course....unless the 1,2,3 steps are completed....because the new course will cancelled the old one out.

Very good. It must feel nice to hit 70% and send it to ACE. I'm getting there. MATHWAY.COM is a neat site, thanks for sharing it nj593. - Can't believe I missed the first time it was mentioned. I must not be spending enough time at degreeforum.
