Has anyone been successful in getting NMJC or Allen Community College to accept ACE credits from the below:
ALEKS Corporation
American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters/The Institutes
National Emergency Training Center (NFA)
Shmoop University
SOPHIA Learning, LLC
StraighterLine
Texas Engineering Extension Service
If not, which B&M (with a low-cost tuition) accepts and awards an associates degree.
I plan on continuing my degree plan at COSC, but will be seeking lower-cost alternatives for classes. Some B&M have scholarships for transfer students, based on GPA and or if they finished an AA.
Thanks,

Search the forums for Pierpont and BOG AAS. Were you looking for a particular Associate's for a particular purpose?
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

Thanks for the reply, no particular AA just a general studies degree.
Seems Pierpont would cost about $1,300 ($400 for the 1-credit hour class, $300 fee, and $600 (60 * $10) per credit.
- complete a 1-credit hour Portfolio Development course;
- pay a non-refundable evaluation fee of $300 which covers ALL credits requested; thus, a student may appeal for credits for one course or several for the same $300 fee;
- pay a $10 per credit hour transcription fee for each credit hour granted through the process;
- understand that there is no guarantee that the number of credits requested will be granted;
- understand that credits granted through the portfolio or PLA process will not carry letter grades that will affect GPA;
- understand that other Associate and Bachelor degree programs are under no obligation to accept credits based on portfolio submissions; and
- understand that financial aid does not cover the costs associated with a portfolio submission.
looking for a cheaper option, maybe I'll spend the $15 ea and send a ACE transcript to NMJC & Allen.

No, you need to search for the BOG AAS. As long as you have at least 12 credits from an RA school (like a CC), you can transfer in the whole thing and it will cost you no fees at Pierpont at all.

The only costs I incurred were paying to send my transcripts to them (~$60).

Is the Pierpont still free, if so, why do they list all the fees?
Do you have to to get around the fees by applying for a regular admission and then converting to BOG

The fees you mention are if you're doing PLA through them (which you don't have to do). Just go apply for the BOG degree and start sending your transcripts to Pierpont.
