You could make a lot of money using LLMs, from developing programs to creating content such as books and more.

Garbage books. I've seen so many of these things on Amazon lately and they're just totally trash. I'm not morally bankrupt enough to publish some of the things I've seen.

Another huge breakthrough! It's interesting that open source AI tends to be around 6 months behind closed sourced AI.
Open Source DeepSeek-R1 delivers OpenAI's o1 performance at less than 1/10 the cost.

Pessimists sound smart,
Optimists make money.

Exciting news! For just $200 a month, you can now access the full o1 model—the very same model available in the $20 subscription tier. But wait, there’s more! You’ll also get exclusive access to the pro version (which is probably the same thing with a shinier name).
According to rumors, OpenAI is rolling out this bold new pricing strategy:
- Base o1 Model: $200/month
- Pro o1 Model: $499/month
- Max o1 Model: $998/month
It's like a subscription tier for your subscription tiers!
I will say to this though that while it is a spicy price, I have 2 friends now that have saved so, so much money by letting ChatGPT analyse all of their crap related to their legal troubles (they where definitely not in the wrong, but the law is blind) and wow both were helped enormously. The quality of the writing for the appeals was basically human-written almost, and wow, it was solid. Both of these friends had completely different situations and troubles, both used the AI, progressively writing prompts through one model to the next, and I am still surprised by the outstanding results.
So both of them paying way less than lawyers, and they still use the AI for everyday other items. We sure do not live in a 3.5-model world anymore!

We need these strong competitors to keep the market surprises coming, it's exciting and drives the prices down of course. We benefit so greatly, and the faster AI is enhanced and integrated the better it will be, we are too far in too say no to AI, so let's get the changes integrated faster, and the end-user gets a better deal. I hope to see even more surprising during my lifespan. As a developer I will get ejected out by AI, but I know this and will have to retrain, sure fine okay, keeps life spicy, and the spice is life.
