ENEB Master Thread
#61
LOL, I sent them a few questions and here are the answers... see below!

Dear Bryan,

Thank you for contacting us and for buying our voucher.

Regarding your questions:

Question 1:  I purchased a Groupon $299 for both MBA & Masters in Big Data, I want to know if this $299 USD covers the entire 24 months of studying at your school?  Or is this just a deposit for the programs advertised?

It covers the entirety of the program, there are no extra charges for the program.

Question 2:  Am I right when I say this?  I understand ENEB is affiliated with Universidad Isabel I and I will get a degree from ENEB and also a degree for Universidad Isabel I.

Correct.

Near the bottom of the webpage it indicates the following: https://eneb.com/why-eneb/
- Master’s Degree
- Specialist Diploma in Coaching and NLP
- Business Spanish Certificate

Question 3:  Can I start with the Business Spanish Certificate and then Coaching & NLP, then work on the Masters last?  I like to work my way up instead from Cert to Diploma to Masters.

Yes. The Spanish course is optional, so it's up to you to take it or leave it or leave it 'till last.

Question 4:  Free Tablet Included.  Do all students get a tablet including those who purchased the Groupon?  If so, what is the brand/model of this tablet?

No, the Groupon promotion does not include the tablet as the school only allows one promotion per student. The tablet is for the students who enrol at full price (8400US$).

To complete your registration please send us the 8 letter code on your voucher. Please keep in mind you'll be able to choose any future date of your convenience.

We remain at your disposal for any further information.

Kind regards,

I'm very glad to see investigative journalism is alive and well, since their answer clarifies whether this Groupon investment could approach breaking even if someone sold off the freebie tech. If only they could give away as many promotional tablets as they do coupons for degrees.

Well there are people on Linkedin with it, so I guess that's heard of someone.  Looks like the English program has only been running since April 2019, but the Spanish one has been running since 2014.   At least that's the dates their Twitter accounts were set up.

Thanks all for this great investigative work and responses! What's there to lose?
So glad I asked this of you super folks on DegreeForum!

"Claro, y un viaje a cuba."

They were asking the real questions even 3.5 years ago.

A WGU MBA is a LOT more than $300 - at least 10x the cost.  I'm going to say that a $300 degree of any kind (AA, BA or MA) is a hoax (and for anyone who says the BOG AAS was less, the courses for the degree cost someone more than $300, even if you weren't the person paying for it either through work, Modern States, pell grants, etc.  Someone, possibly tax payers, an employer, or a non-profit, paid the cost of the course or exam).

Okay, so I have been thinking about this.  We already have a basic $3600 masters.  It's the Walden early childhood masters.  It is $1800 per semester.  The WGU MBA is similar.  So, basically, for under $4,000 these companies probably make some money even with paying the professors who provide lots of input within the programs.  Nations University costs $1800 per year for a pretty much completely online degree with volunteer professors.

This appears to be a completely online Moodle-based program.  It appears to be several years old.  It is pretty much a certainty that there is pretty much no actual teaching going on.  However, I could foresee a situation in which a completely online program that started several years ago with good intentions at $8,000 now has a day-old-bread price of $300 to $500 on Groupon.  I am sure that it is terrible.  This is probably just a little bit of cost recovery for a failed program.  At least, that's my theory.

I just looked and it has increased to $2250 per three month term. That is still a great deal.

I received my first grade for a paper on ENEB. I made a 10. I got weirded out and was trying to figure out how I could only have scored a 10 on it. After some googling, I figured out Spanish universities are on a 10 point grade system. A 10 is an A+
