Eastern University MBA

Eastern's Data Science masters is a hot topic here.

Does anyone have experience with their MBA?

If cost is an issue you can get an MBA for $3000 from a RA university - Hellenic American University in NH. It's not self paced though.

They require a 3.0 GPA and an essay and 2 letters of recommendation.   I don’t have the GPA and not interested in writing an essay or asking others to write letters for me.

That's pretty standard for many MBA programs. Probably most. It's rare to find a grad school that accepts less than a 3.0. Some will work with you if your GPA is lower and have you take graduate remedial courses or put you on probation until you complete the first couple of courses. The price difference maybe worth the essay and recommendations for some folks.

Close enough, Eastern is also 7 week terms like HAU and let's you take 2 courses at a time that you can self pace.

I am doing 2 courses at HAU, one Guided study, other "normal".

Bottom line with both, couple classes a term will finish in a year ~

Eastern is ACBSP so there is that, if that is worth $7,000 to someone.
DBA Student at South College starting in October 2022, Target finish date May 2024

Certificate for the Study of Capitalism at University of Arkansas finished July 2022

MBA with Hellenic American University started March 29th, 2021 , finished May 20th 2022, Graduated in June 2022

BSBA at Thomas Edison State University started May 21st 2020 with Sophia and SDC, finished Jan 24th, 2021, Graduated on 12 March of 2021

Total time to complete both degrees 2 years exactly, total cost just a small bit over $10,000

Thanks Degreeforum!

Admissions was a surprisingly easy process. They don't require any prerequisites, they didn't check my GPA (with TESU, I had no official GPA and I didn't have to send my other transcripts) and my "essay" was just a simple cover letter. 'Hi, I'm Maniac Craniac. I'm extremely awesome. Your school is extremely awesome. Let's be extremely awesome together."

I don't know how strict they actually are with GPA requirements, but that's about as easy as admissions ever gets.

For those who may wonder- I'm very happy with HAU and I think just about anyone else would be, too. I'm just extremely indecisive and always considering options. I have employer tuition reimbursement coming up in September, which means that money will be less of an obstacle.

I have a long history on this forum and DI of laying down a perfect plan, then quickly changing my mind. It's just what I do.

I'm seriously considering this MBA! I'm hoping they will continue with the reduced tuition. I'm in a MS program right now which I need to complete so I can find a job in the field I want to move into.

An MBA for $3,000...I admit, I never thought I'd want one, but for that price, I at least thought I'd ask for more info from them...
