Currently the Financial, Leadership, & General are the current concentrations available to US students. My advisor didnt put a date on the others ones current avaialble for upgrad students. My hope is when the time comes I can select the Cloud track to leverage my professional experience.

Hello everyone,
I have finally completed the first course at Edgewood and wanted to talk about the experience just like Lidel, to help future students.

The course itself is very interesting and engaging. I wasn't bored even for one minute, even the discussions and the Generative AI sandbox. I would suggest not to miss these two optional things and to read all the answers from other students. It helps a lot in learning.

The modules and lectures by Dr. Palmisano were good. She has a very good knack of explaining complicated things in simple terms, which I loved. Her voice is also very soothing.

The final assignment was difficult for me. Due to the one-week delay in gaining access to the course, I was on a time crunch. I uploaded my assignment about 30 minutes before closing time.

There is a SafeAssign program associated with the assignment that checks for plagiarism. I reached out to the professor to ask how this works and she had no clue. So here are the steps as I found it, open the SafeAssign link and checkmark the box there. Then you have to submit your paper before you get the report. The report was interesting, it told me I didn't have any plagiarism, but then again, I didn't add many quotes. It would be interesting to see how this works with quotes and paraphrasing.

The course is now closed for them to grade the papers. It will open after the grades are published. One thing I learned that surprised me was that before the final date of the assignment, you can keep sending in your draft papers to the professor for feedback. This wasn't something I was able to do during my MBA course, so I didn't know about it.

I found the professor responsive, but her advice wasn't that great to be honest. But I feel maybe because my company is a bit left field from the usual companies she is used to talk about and advising. I didn't get a chance to book the TA appointment, as every time I would try to schedule one, it was always fully booked. During a webinar, I did find the upGrad TA knowledgeable to be honest, but didn't get a chance to talk to her on the one-on-one call. The response they gave to the discussions and sandbox answers felt sometimes generic, and sometimes insightful. That is why reading all the students' answers is important along with the TA replies as it gives you further insights and helps with the thought process.

Due to shortage of time, I actually did all the discussions and sandbox in the last days before the assignment like 9-10th May. The TAs still responded, which I liked. It helped me build more confidence for my first paper at this college.

I don't know how I did on the actual paper, which is like 65% of my grade, but fingers crossed.

Oh, and I did find this odd, but there was this one student who completed the entire course by the 26th of April. Like 500+ pages of the book, the 18 or so modules, discussions and sandbox per modules, exams per modules and then the final 7-15pg assignment. During the webinar with the professors, all she wanted to know was when she can gain access to the second course, how will that be and all that. How she completed everything so fast is a mystery to me, but just a heads up that some students can be like her so don't be surprised.

I hope this helps everyone experience how DBA at Edgewood works.
