So, for the first time in my life, I have seen a online ad for Excelsior College. It's a fine banner as far as internet banners go, but it's interesting that they have finally started to do some advertising. I pasted in the link below but I know that the same ad may not always be there even on the same day and will certainly eventually not be there, but for anyone who wants to see...

Generally speaking I liked the fact that the Big Three did very little advertising--though I don't mind things like this if they are used sparingly. Check it out.

That's cool as long as they don't start advertising during Judge Judy, Jerry Springer, Maury, or any of those other shows that tacky schools like to advertise on.

Take a drive through central NJ and chances are you'll drive by a TESC billboard. Lots of non-trad schools do advertising... SNHU, WGU, TESC, EC, as well as Penn State World Campus and CSU Global Campus. I don't think they diminish a school's reputation as long as they appear in appropriate places. (and seeing as all the schools I mentioned are public or non-profit, I don't think that'll be an issue)
