Excelsior Finance Degree - Business policy question
#1
I am looking to get a Finance degree from Excelsior, however, a problem that comes up (among a few others) is fulfilling the Business Policy class. I know you have to take it from them, but I went to search it on their website and no class came up under course search for "Business Policy" nor did it come up when I just searched "policy".

I haven't registered yet, but I definitely want to register before the next class so I can get that out of the way (I would just ask them but generally they don't seem to be keen on answering if you aren't a student with them yet). Anyone have any idea when the next class is and how long it lasts?

Thanks.
Matt

P.S. kinda strange that you can nearly test out of the whole degree but they require you take this one class.

Edit: Never mind, I found the information. Although I read the page containing the information to have to take the business policy course through them, I didn't see. Wow I'm completely shocked at the cost. It says that the cost of taking an excelsior course is $300 per credit hour. 300 * 3 credit hours, for 900 bucks for one course. Can that be right?

It shouldn't surprise you. At Kent State it's over $450/credit. Heck, even at my community college it's $106 per credit. $300 is actually on the lower side per credit for a university.
I have 18 traditional credits and 51 exam credits. I've passed Introductory Sociology 76, Introductory Psychology 68, A&I Literature 66, Principles of Marketing 76, Introductory Business Law 71, Social Sciences & History 67, DSST Drug & Alcohol Abuse 450, Biology 69, Principles of Management 70, Natural Sciences 64, Intro to Business DSST 70, Principles of Macroeconomics 67, Principles of Microeconomics 58.

I suppose it's strange to me because you can get your entire education through testing an courses from Excelsior for 6k-7k but 15% of that cost comes from taking one class, and a seemingly incidental one at that.

idk, maybe it's just me.
