Excelsior History Requirements

I've searched the forum for a history program at excelsior, but have only found one for tesc. I came up with this one based on their guidelines for a history degree at https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_Coll...istory.pdf. I just sent them an email so hopefully they will let me know if it will work. If anybody is getting a history degree at excelsior I would appreciate any feedback. Here is the list.

Core Requirements: 12 hrs

A. Clep US History I 3 hrs

B. Clep Western Civ I 3 hrs
Clep Western Civ II 3 hrs

C. Excelsior course in historiography 3 hrs

Intermediate and upper level courses: 12 hrs

A. Clep US History II 3 hrs

DSST Civil War and Reconstruction 3 hrs

B. DSST Western Europe since 1945 3 hrs

C. DSST Intro to Modern Middle East 3 hrs

Electives: 6 hrs

A. DSST History of Vietnam War 3 hrs

B. DSST Intro to World Religion 3 hrs

30 hrs total

Optional:

Excelsior World Conflicts Since 1900 3 hrs

DSST Rise and Fall of Soviet Union 3 hrs

I am a history major at EC. I won't try to analyze your proposed program, but I would be glad to e-mail you my latest evaluation and status reports that you can make of what you will. You'll be able to see what they're requiring of me and what I've received credit for thus far. I can also add some info about what other courses and exams I've been approved for but not yet completed.

Hi Robert, If you want other IC members to be able to e-mail you directly, you need to do the following:

• Click on "User CP" (User Control Panel) at the upper far left of the screen
  
• Click on "Edit Options"--under "Settings and Options" on the left side of screen
  
• Scroll down to the 2nd section "Messaging & Notifications"
  
• The 2nd choice is "Receive e-mail from other members" - put a check in that box
