Federal Income Taxation Options for TESC?
#1
I'm looking for options to take this, not through TESC (or TECEP), and not through LSU (their course is on Hold).
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

EDIT: Actually, I'll ask this too... what other schools, other then TESC and LSU, may have some decent online accounting courses?

Thanks!

Another option for online Accounting courses is Adams State University www.adams.edu Online Business Courses. The accounting courses are listed under business. They don't have Federal Income Taxation but they have a few courses such as Auditing and Governmental Accounting.

Pub, check out Upper Iowa University. They have independent study courses in acct. A little pricey though (over 300 p/cr).

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Columbia college offers accounting classes and they have federal income tax for individuals and corporation. I don't know a whole lot about their classes, but just thought I'd mention it. Looks like it's $240/credit hour.

University of North Alabama (RA-SACS and ACBSP)
University of North Alabama Professional Accounting Prep Program - Home

They have Federal Taxation I and II as well as some auditing and financial reporting classes. Currently cost is $400 for 3 credits but it is set to increase to $475 on 4/2/13. It looks like they have a slightly flexible timetable for course completion but they still work around a semester schedule so they are not entirely self paced. If you need the classes right away I would jump on them before the price increase.

I saw that someone suggested Penn Foster earlier in this thread. If you intend to sit the CPA exam I would avoid their courses. Most states require that accounting courses come from RA schools. Some even have limits on the amount of distance education you can use to qualify. I would check the regulations for the state where you intend to be licensed to make sure that you will not have issues.
