First Term Free at Walden!
#11
You need to stay with Walden for 4 of these tempo terms. They’ll disperse $500 each term.

I wonder if it'd be feasible to complete an entire grad cert in that time....
Seems like a good opportunity.

I believe that's if you take the $2,000 grant. The first term is being offered for free as another option.

Here are the Tempo programs and discounts available, it's at the bottom of the screen.
Link: https://www.waldenu.edu/financial-aid/li...me-savings

FYI. If anyone is wondering what the 10% Tuition Reduction is, it's just for undergrad. You need to take a course at StraighterLine to get the 10% reduction for Bachelors degrees.

The only program that caught my eye was this: Graduate Certificate in Applied Project Management – Tempo Learning
That $2000 grant pretty much is split into 4 terms, giving you $500 off each of those terms. But each term is $2250...

Tempo Learning (competency based)
$2,000 grant for:
Graduate Certificate in Applied Project Management
Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Administration, Management and Leadership
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)
MS in Early Childhood Studies
Bachelor of Science in Nursing

This tuition reduction is only available to new students in good standing residing in the U.S. who begin classes on December 3, 2018. This offer may only be combined with the 10% tuition reduction for U.S.-based partner organizations or incremental offers. Students are responsible for other non-tuition costs, including but not limited to university and program and custom-related fees and taxes. The grant funds will be applied to the student’s account approximately four to six weeks from the start date and applied up to $500 per term for the first 4 consecutive terms after enrollment, beginning in the first term.

First term tuition-free for:
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)
MS in Early Childhood Studies

This tuition reduction is only available to new students in good standing residing in the U.S. who begin classes on December 3, 2018. This offer may only be combined with incremental offers. Students are responsible for other non-tuition costs, including but not limited to university and program and custom-related fees and taxes.

Capella never offers grants or scholarships to FlexPath students. I would be more interested in an MS in psychology.

Sad

I may be doing that at Capella if no other school has one. Maybe not until 2020 Smile

I've already been accepted. It only took a few hours. It's hard for me to turn down free stuff.

I think that this one could be used to achieve the standard educational administrative certificate in New Jersey.

I was thinking of doing part of their MBA, and then transferring those credits elsewhere, but I bet there aren't too many which transfer. I was comparing the course names and credit values, and I think the schools are getting wiser and making them unique. For example, Walden has "Fostering a Culture of Innovation" as one of their MBA classes, and I can imagine almost every other school saying they can't take that because they don't have an equivalent required course in their degree. Still, may be possible to get 6 credits or more to transfer Smile

I even looked at those BS programs and they gave funky names to the gen Ed competencies.
