MBA options

Paramedic, look at Amberton University's graduate business programs. I can't speak from experience, but they are known to be heavily focused on papers.

Wilmington University’s Online MBA will. They’re non-profit & hold IACBE accreditation. They’re my backup school incase I don’t get accepted into my top 5.

I would highly recommend Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Entire program is $11,880 AND they are accredited by the AACSB.

I had a less than stellar GPA, but I wrote up a personal statement to speak to holes in my academic record and was allowed in with no issues..

Are there any programs that will accept students 100%? Should I just go back to TESU and take a couple easy classes to boost the GPA?

Please note that admission to graduate school can be a highly negotiable prospect. Many schools will waive a requirement for someone they're convinced will succeed in the master's program. Factors they might consider:
  • Successful career
  • Earnestness of your application
  • Possible probationary period (first 9 credits will a 'B' or better)
  • Discussions with school officials. I put this one last, but it should be your first move. Talk to them. Find out what they want and what can happen. Be a real person to them and not an impersonal application with a serious flaw. Negotiate (nicely; they have all the cards except your tuition). If they say "no," find out what it will take to make it "yes."
Finally, shop around.  Good luck!

Update: Decided to enroll in WGU MBA healthcare management program starting July 1st if I can get all the admission requirements squared away by then. I'll keep you guys updated on how the program goes and how fast it can be completed while working full-time. My plan is to get a graduate internship at a local hospital for MBA and MPH students. These days, many of the clinical managerial roles go to RN's with management experience but i'm hoping my experience as a paramedic will count towards something. Thanks guys!

Congratulations and all the best!! Have you connected with Rebel100 our moderator? Your background/education/profession aligns with his, he probably has some good advice for hitting your goals.

Tuition for Fall 2017 - Summer 2018

Undergraduate:
$213.33 per credit hour
Graduate:
$280.73 per credit hour
MBA and DNP:
$400.00 per credit hour
  • If you wanted a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) Concentrations: Public Health Administration it would probably be less than $10,000 ($8,422) --- I don't know if that's the same as Healthcare Management .... and I also noticed that they offer a graduate degree in Human Resource Management as well
