Free Insurance Ethics - alternative course
#1
Hello everyone,

I'm currently taking SL courses and my aim is to finish a BALS at TESU by the end of this year. I'm wondering if SL offers an alternative to the Free Insurance Ethics course. I saw SL has "Business Ethics - BUS106". Does it have the same equivalency? I find the Free Insurance Ethics Course a bit hard to understand.

Thanks a lot,
Luca

Hi Luca,
You can definitely skip the reading on the Insurance Ethics course and just take the exam. So long as you're able to pass with a 70% of higher you'll earn the credit. Then you'll simply need to go back and scroll/click through the course materials for the course to be marked "complete." I completed it this way in about 35 minutes.

Don't use 35 minutes as your benchmark. There are 50 questions on the exam. Take your time and look up the answers especially if you have no/little prior knowledge. This isn't a race. Also, you don't need to scroll back through the course. Simply completing the exam with 70% gets you the credit.

I just recently completed this course. I recommend reading the first paragraph for each topic, skimming for any bold words & definitions, skip down to the summary (focus there) and move on. I found it fairly easy to get a 74% on it with those tactics.

Not to mention you can retake the exam as many times as you need to pass. This is a great way to get two free UL credits :-)
