As I recall, Harrison-Middleton offers a Doctor of Arts, Doctor of Education, and Master of Arts all rooted in a rather personalized great books curriculum.

I took Great Books at Michigan and it was one of the great experiences of my life.  My professor, H. Don Cameron, kind of looked like what I thought Homer should look like and we had just the greatest discussion group and TA, Stephen Sheehi, ever.  I graduated in 1997 and I still chat with now-Dr. Sheehi on Facebook.  Just a great thing all around.  In quiet moments, I sometimes think to myself, "Hehe, I have read the Great Books."  Smile

I also have a complete set of the Encyclopedia Britannica Great Books which is kind of useless given that everything is in the public domain and can be downloaded to an e-reader, but my mom bought them at a garage sale and in quiet moments, I sometimes think to myself, "Hehe, I own the Great Books." Smile

Just wondering (I can't remember), is the Great Books the same thing as the Great Courses? When I read this, the first thing that popped into my mind was... For some reason I am thinking of the Great Courses that's offered at Kanopy and is used in the Onlinedegree.com courses.
