Help with TESU BA CS plan, please
#11
Many of the UL math would be similar price to TESU. Plus most schools calc iii and iv are not UL. And even what you are saying wokrs with saving a few hundred in claases you'd still have to pay the waiver. So depending on the price paying slightly more for tesu courses might actually save you money because you wont have to pay the $2800 wavier fee. If you want a BA in math I think your best bet would be to do at least some coures at TESU and make sure it is least 16 total (you already have to do 6, so 10 more credits) and avoid the wavier.

I will definitely have to figure out at which point it makes sense to take classes at TESU vs. elsewhere. Right now, I'm not completely sure that the math works out if only 6 or 9 TESU credits are absolutely necessary.

Math classes at APUS are cheaper than TESU and some count as UL, right? Viable option?

Have you tried asking community colleges if they would grant credit for a departmental exam?

I'm not sure what you mean, so I'm gonna go with no.

I think they mean a 'course challenge'. You can get credit for some college courses by passing an exam at the college in lieu of taking the course. This usually has to be drafted by a department head and doesn't usually save money. Some schools have different policies on pricing.

Ahh. Okay. Definitely not. Especially if it needs to be done in-person.
