Right. The course calendar only has two items on it for July, with three items each on 02 and 03 July - kinda makes me feel like they haven't planned the rest of the 8 weeks out.
Which is fine, I guess - but maybe also give us a bit more time to work on the numerous papers as well then? Course start on 29 June and a reflection paper in 01 July hardly gives me enough to even absorb the information I'm reading, never mind reflecting on it.

I was hoping for a bit more analysis, but the way it's structured it feels a lot more like regurgitation of readings, which is not quite what I was looking for.

Exactly; I feel the same way. I think the topic is extremely important right now, but they hadn't even finalized the syllabus until at least the 28th or 29th. The one that was on the course info page is not the one being used now. I'm not sure what the difference is but it's apparently sufficiently different enough to cause confusion. I definitely don't remember the paper-every-week reflection requirement nor the discussion requirement, but I will admit that this could simply be an oversight on my part.

Same here - I don't recall there being quite so many weekly tasks! The fact so many are due during weekdays is a killer for me.
