How difficult are the finance TECEP's? FIN-331 and FIN-321
#1
Hello!

Two of the five classes I have left are TESU finance TECEP's.  I am curious about past experience with these exams.  There is part of me that wants to just try FIN-331 cold.  Anyone have opinions on these?

Thanks in Advance!

Okay. I just took FIN-331 cold and scored 72%. There are no calculations on the exam. The questions are pretty much in line with the TECEP PDF. I was originally going to read the 700 page book, but then I just read through the 20 questions on the PDF and found a 180 question quizlet set with relevant information and read through it. I am an econ. teacher, so I would say that my base level of knowledge in the subject is reasonably advanced. I found that I could eliminate two answers in most cases using logic and then I picked the best of the two remaining. I would rate this one as moderately difficult.

Thanks, hed1979! I took this exam after work today and scored a 65 cold. Not my best, but good enough. It was on the difficult side. Just a couple of calculations. I have one more class for the Finance certificate and two more for the accounting BSBA.

Mike or anyone,

Any input on which of the two I should take first? Edit: I decided to do FIN-331 as I believe the other will be easier for me. I want to get the harder one out of the way.

And for FIN-321, should I use a calculator? Or will it be mostly rounded numbers so I feel confident without. I feel like I can't do math anymore unless it's rounded numbers or small numbers.
