Hi guys,
I am a friend's Librarian coach during his degree. Hes done a bunch of courses thru Straighterline.Com. We will be applying for his entry to Thomas Edison to do the Capstone course ASAP, how does he actually tell Straighterline to send the credits to ACE ? Does to have to register for an ACE account somewhere ?

Yes, you get an account at
https://www2.acenet.edu/credit/?fuseacti...ation.main
After logging in the main page shows the steps for adding a course to your transcript.

Doesn't TESU accepts SL transcripts directly?
Save some money by not having to pay for ACE to generate a transcript.
But still have them added to your ACE account for credit banking if you need them in the future. Adding them is free.

Unfortunately, for the folks just now opening an account, there will be a fee.

"What are the fees for ordering a transcript?
The fee for establishing a record with ACE is $20.00. This fee includes one complimentary transcript. Additional transcripts are $15.00 each."
IMO, even though you CAN send from SL to TESU directly, I would never leave my credit unprotected in that way. Put it on ACE. If the apocalypse happens and your friend doesn't finish his TESU degree-fails his capstone-SL is blown up by nuclear weapon of mass destruction.... his credit is still on record. If anything at all happens that he "breaks" his relationship with TESU, he is back to square one. UNLESS he plants these on ACE. Then they can go anywhere.

That's what it said when i registered (a couple years ago now), but the $20 wasn't due until I actually requested my first transcript.
Two years is plenty of time for that to have changed though, so if the $20 is due up front now, that's a real bummer.

It was in January when I started my ACE account. No charge. There was a $20 charge to set up the account to send transcripts the first time.

Same here. I set up our ACE accounts so long ago.
