I need education Bullets
#1
I am currently deployed and I have my Bachelors Degree, I want to wait til I return before I start my Masters degree. In the mean time I would like to continue to educate myself with any free online courses. The main idea being, having some bullets for when I return to my home station. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any sites that have any sort of material that could be used for educational bullets?

Thank you everyone for your time and help.

Education bullets for what? your Evaluation report?
You can easily take more CLEPs/DSSTs or FEMAs and those can be used as bullets for your Competence block of your Evaluation (if you're in the Army and use the NCOER).
If that's what you're talking about, if not then disregard my post LOL.

Thank you for your reply and yes they will be used for my evaluation report. I have taken over 70 credits worth of CLEPS/DANTES and tons of FEMAS so those choices are kind of out.

Its all on how you word it. If you are finishing up a Bachelors, you're bullets can be tailored to say you are pursuing a second degree. It shows that you are constantly learning and didn't stop after you got your 1st degree. That's what I did. I got the 1st BS, now I'm on to the second Bachelors. Then on to the Masters.

See if you can motivate a junior troop to follow in your footsteps. I was able to get an E4 that works for me to pursue the same AAS in Electronics that I have from TESC. He tested out and used his Military credits just like I did. This will look great on both of our evaluations and give him points towards promotion. Win-win!

BA/Liberal Studies, TESC 2011
AAS/Applied Electronic Studies, TESC 2010

:iagree:

One thing I tell my NCO's is what YOU do does not impress me. Watching your subordinate Soldiers develop under your leadership does.

blu2blu has a good point, if you are maxed out on your education bullets, make yourself look good on your evaluation by making sure your Soldiers are following in your footsteps.

Does anyone have any links to these websites that offer up free credits or certificates?

Free credits/certifications? I never heard of such a thing...
You always have to pay for things that hold value.

In the Air Force, we have a professional development site called ADLS and another one called IT-eLearning. If you're AF, or are in a branch that provides such a thing, I would highly recommond checking those out.

Before I started my CCAF/Associate's Degree, I did a lot of "free certifications". Again, these hold no weight, but might look good.

In the end, I completed everything within ADLS, 86 CBTs passed with 86 certificates to show for it. And also conquered a lot of IT-eLearning, with 40 CBTs passed with 40 certificates as well.
