"Practical" Degree
#1
Over the years, degrees and certificates that were considered "practical" are no longer. I'm currently trying to make a huge decision. I have no college credits and a part of me feels a longing for not only a degree, but a job to go along with it. Right now I have my eyes on nursing (community college), health information manager/health informatics (WGU), or psychosocial rehab (community college associate degree). Any advice or tips on where to start would be helpful.

Here is what I came up with so far.

In this day and age, is a business degree "practical"? Or are business degrees better for someone who already works as a manager, marketing, sales, etc. and just needs that pieces of paper to keep their job or get a raise? Do employers "look down" on degrees from the big 3?

From my experience, yes to being practical and no to employers looking down on degrees from the big 3.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

The reputation from a school is partly based on their graduated students. I have seen people from the Big Three employed
in different companies with some degree of success. Why would employers look down, if the graduates properly perform
as employees.
