Finally got my ECES voucher. I hop it works!! In the meantime, I've been working on my capstone. I just submitted task 2 of 3.

Holy crap!!! They graded the capstone task 2 in less than 18 hours. Competent. On to task 3.

Right now we are at PHP 7, Anyone in dev knows that besides startups most businesses will have apps that are running technology decades old because it just WORKS. If something aint broken, dont rewrite the stack.
The thing is that since there is no official support security wise for this version 4 (cut in 07 or 08 thereabouts) business will actually pay devs to keep supporting it security wise, cause its cheaper than rewriting, then fixing bugs.
Contrary to belief, universities are actually good at helping you land a job at a big corporation, since they are usually decades behind.

This is precisely what happened (the topic I chose is mostly truthful). I got handed the login credentials for a desktop someone had written a PHP4 app on years prior, and had since left the company. Since I was the only person on the team who had a clue what PHP was, it became my baby. It was basically Shadow IT run amok.

Indeed!! The rumbling on the IT Slack is that WGU is giving preference to capstones, so they're usually graded within 24 hours. Will find out when I do forensics.
