Study.com did not raise their prices - it looks like the amount you're being charged is for ~8% sales tax. Can you check and see if that's what's going on?

As students who use study.com we should be honest and tell our fellow students what study.com is really about. It is not just open book. In essence there is an answer key for all the quizzes. Right click on print answers for worksheet and just answer all quizzes.
And those quizzes are your first 100 points. And then depending on course, you have a mandatory reading list, or essays and then there is final quiz. You only need 210/300 to pass with 1 third given to you. Yes it is nice and as a study.com subscriber wouldn't change it for the world. But it is useless to be so defensive about the service without at least explaining what makes it so nice. People are afraid that students may want things to change, but reality is whether they post it here or not, it is not stopping the myriad of students to give feedback for likes and dislikes on study.com itself. Let's take advantage of the good things study.com offers while it last and let's not keep it a secret, there are a ton of other websites that do explain freely what it entails. So it is not a secret after all. Good luck on your studies (10-05-2020, 12:33 PM)SteveFoerster Wrote: So, paying five times as much or more for credit to avoid a "scam"? Now I've seen everything!I can see the logic in that some students want to know where their money goes, and so if they know it is to support a legit institution they see more cause to spend their hard-earned money towards an actual school than an online service. That is not to say one place is a scam or not, but if that is how they feel, their feelings are real, and if they think a service is a scam, a penny or a lot is just the same, and they feel like their money is well spent going with a sure, already established school. |
