Hi all,
The April Capstone is but a vague memory. I turned in my final the last day of the course on Sunday, June 23rd. Had my final grades posted the next day, which only makes sense as the chapters had already been graded throughout the course.
The course wasn't as bad as I imagined and had read about here. It was terrible, but most of that was my own doing, as I'm a terrible writer and a master procrastinator with poor time management skills.
A few of the Two Week Modules I completed a few hours a night and a little bit on weekends.
The rest of the Mods I did on Friday night thru Sunday afternoon binges with plenty of caffeine.
My grades seemed to be the same for each method, I did prefer the couple hours a night method, but it was not possible for me to maintain that, do to work travel and life in general.
In my opinion, as painful as it was, it should be attainable for anyone with a little effort. Looking back now, it seems to have gone by in a blur. Revisionist history.
Mine was the Online Group with the discussion posting requirements. I enjoyed that, it proved to be a sounding board and sometimes was inspirational. We had a great professor, that gave timely responses and has an excellent method of critiquing with suggestions and ideas to help you generate the most scholarly of papers.
I have been in contact with a very helpful academic advisor at TESU and the registrars' office a few times to confirm I had everything in order to earn a degree and graduate. After triple checking, my TECEPs from May 2016 counted towards residency and the Capstone put me over the 16 credit/sh requirement due to keeping myself alive in the 2016 catalog. Sitting back now and waiting for final Audit and hopefully a notification that all is good.
To anyone pausing or having concerns about the capstones, DON'T!!
Do not let any of the capstone projects be a deterrent to finishing what you have started!
It is 100% within your reach!
