Hey guys I have decided to go with UPMI for their BA in Management. I am waiting for the transcripts to get there and I am just getting as much done as possible before. You'll need to complete a minimum of 30 credits at UMPI. You'll also need to complete the GEC (UMPI's gen eds). You will need to complete a specific number of UL courses - almost all of them must be taken at UMPI. You'll get a sheet from your academic advisor showing what courses you have left to complete for your degree. I'd wait for that before taking anything else. Once you're enrolled, you'll need permission from your academic advisor to take courses outside of UMPI and have them transfer in. Also to start on the March 15th term, you'll need to have all of your transcripts in soon so that may put the brakes on taking courses outside of UMPI.

Thanks for the reply my transcripts are in snail mail from the last school hence my "limbo" status so I am just looking to take more courses before officially enrolled. I calculated the courses with my enrollment specialist and we are pretty sure I will have 30. My post is more to see if maybe another degree is possible or any other courses to keep my momentum going.

A second degree is a possibility. It would have to be a second BA or a second concentration. It cannot be the BLS. You have to decide which second degree or concentration you'd want to complete. You'll really want to wait for that sheet from your advisor once the Registrar processes your transcripts. I had some courses come in differently than enrollment expected. The Registrar is the one who makes the determination.

You could US History 2 on Sophia while you wait.

Are you getting the BA in Business Administration w/concentration in Management & Leadership? Or the B of Liberal Studies with Management Minor?

Depending on which one, you can certainly get an additional concentration for the BABA (like Project Management) or Minor for the BLS (like Project Management or Accounting).

You should make sure you know for sure which one you're getting, and what the other options are. Then, the only thing you can really do is wait for an official eval before making any decisions.

I would also make sure that you complete an entire degree before adding a Concentration/Minor. It's very easy to get caught up in the whole "what else can I do?" enthusiasm, and halfway do a couple of different degrees and have nothing to show for it at the end. Instead, choose your degree and concentration/minor, finish it, and THEN if you have time left in a term (or have the money to do another term), you can add that extra concentration/minor. You always want to at least finish one thing, in case life happens and you can't do more.

It's a BA in Business Admin with a concentration in Management. I also had no idea that you could complete the degree before adding the concentration. I thought once you were done that was it. Thank you for the information.

Hi. I did a Management concentration at UMPI. From what I can tell you is these are what you will need to take:

Foreign Language Class (French or Spanish)
POS 101 American Government
BIO 105 Human Biology (Sophia's does not cover this)
MAT 140 Mathematics for Business
BUS 200 Intermediate Business Computer
BUS 220 Managerial Accounting
BUS 240 Change Management
BUS 260 Leadership
BUS 321 Human Resource Management
BUS 325 Financial Management
BUS 330 Marketing Management
BUS 335 Organizational Behavior
BUS 353 Legal & Ethical Environment of Business
BUS 415 Operations Management
BUS 440 Business Analytics
BUS 469 Strategic Professional Communication
BUS 489 Business Policy and Strategy

I would ask them to make your Critical Thinking HUM 103, I think they'd do that for you as it is close enough. Your intro to IT (both) should cover IT 240.

Unfortunately, all of your study.com and straighterline's are pretty much Lower Levels. So you'll probably have to end up doing all of their upper levels.

Good luck! If you are lucky Business 106: Human Resource Management may come in to take care of the upper level human resources. But, I don't think it well.

Yes, I think another person on the forum added concentrations after he/she completed the first concentration.
