Masters/PhD in Psychology/Neuroscience options
#21
Thanks studiousimp. The course sounds very interesting. But again, they expect the applicant to be a Masters degree holder. I guess all of these online PhDs expect a Masters degree as the minimum. Couldn’t find details about the tuition either. Anyways, this is a great find; I will keep these options in mind. Perhaps, half way thro my Masters, I might consider applying for such PhD programs, so I can continue learning.

That's true. But they have Masters programs and after talking with them at the conference I attended in Prague, there may be some flexibility... I just found them interesting and flexible within their framework. They are accredited but I have found my conversations with CIIS to be rather progressive in terms of their approach.

It sounded like they might take a related Masters degree. I haven't pursued it further yet but felt I could make a case for a masters in either religion or business. It was a matter of finding the relevance. Worth a try anyway.

To me, a WGU MBA or MSML (Masterof Science in Management and Leadership) - which could be earned quickly and affordably, might cut out a number of requirements -- I'm not sure but I wanted to share my thinking, just in case it helps someone get effectively creative (which I'm not sure I am being LOL). Anyway, hope this adds to the possibilities.

Here's a little more info on tuition. I would need to clarify with them before understanding what it would actually cost but it didn't seem terribly onerous... for graduate education. https://www.ciis.edu/admissions-and-fina...n-and-fees

Just throwing this out there, I was looking up RA/NA DBA programs and came across these new programs. Not sure if you're into Eco-psychology, but I found it interesting, I think it's only one of a few types of psychology out there I didn't know about! Just like Business, there are subsets or sub-specialties... I am looking at a DBA from a school that's both RA & NA (WestCliff University), apparently they offer other programs such as an MA TESOL/MSIT/MSCS, etc. Anyways, see below...

Naropa University (RA): Ecopsychology MA (low-residency), it's 38 credits with 10 days residency.
The kicker is $995/credit, so it'll be at least $37,810 for a Masters that's Regionally Accredited.
Program: http://catalog.naropa.edu/current/progra.../index.php
Tuition: http://catalog.naropa.edu/2018-2019/gene...g-bill.php
I might pick the program below as it would be about the same price for an NA MA & DA...

Viridis Graduate Institute (NA): MA SS, emphasis in Ecopsychology & Environmental Humanities
Program link: https://www.viridisinstitute.org/master-of-arts
Tuition ($13,950) : https://www.viridisinstitute.org/masters-tuition-fees
They also have a Doctor of Arts, emphasis in Echopsychology & Environmental Humanities
Tuition ($23,550) : https://www.viridisinstitute.org/doctora...n-and-fees

In Progress: Walden MBA | TESU BA Biology & Computer Science
