Microeconomics
#1
I have an ok understanding of economics. I took macro years ago at school and am scheduled to take micro this semester (my last). I can clep it and not have to pay 1600 for the semester or spend all that time in class. I saw IC's section on micro was relatively small compared to the others. I'm thinking of studying all Friday night, all saturday, all sunday, and monday evening in order to take the test tuesday. So.... 1 Does this sound reasonable? 2. Is this exam as hard as people claim? I figure it can't be worse than sociology which was like chinese to me. Thoughts?

I suppose it all depends on each individual as to whether it is a hard exam or not.

Personally, I found Micro to be a bit easier than Macro (and it seems most find it the other way around) but I had also just finished a quantitative business analysis class that had included a module dedicated to supply, demand, equilibrium points and the graphs that go with it.

If you look at the specific exam feedback thread, you should get a good grasp on what you should focus your studies on.

Good luck!

You can certainly take a shot at it, but it took me a month of studying just to get a passing grade.

I'd say the best candidates to cram for this under a week are people who've already taken Macro, College Algebra AND Statistics.

I passed it after at least a month of studying. I took all the petersons tests over and over till I got 85+, did the flashcards numerous times till I got them all right, did the practise tests in the REA books numerous times and got a 54. but a pass is a pass.

I took macro two semesters before, but I took it online and never had an instructor explain it to me. besides, economics is not my thing. if you had an actual instructor teach you macro economics you might be better off than I was.

When I sat down for the actual test, none of it made any sense and I felt like I failed it big time. my theory is it is worth a shot, especially when you are saving that money money!

good luck
